Rashmi Chhetri “Mother, May I” is a deep, meaningful, noteworthy EP. It undoubtedly deserves an exuberant applause.
The meditative rhythms and vibe of the first song, “Mother and child” possesses a spirited and loving energy. The song is reminiscent of ‘Krishna’ stories Hindu children hear many times growing up. Withal, Krishna holds a special place in my heart for personal reasons. The beautiful, melodious chant, “Funga Alafia, Ashe Ashe” is the perfect way to end this song.
I was truly impressed by “Livin’ These Songs of Love”. I must’ve listened to it a hundred times. The sensibility of the lyrics can be felt in the raw emotions delivered through the vocals, which makes it really easy to appreciate the sincerity of the song. The tune, the lyrics, and the voice… All Amazing!
I hope we get to hear more from ‘Smiling Black Dragon’ very soon!!!

LIVIN' THESE SONGS of LOVE (AMANDA'S LAST STANCE) v1. You got your civic life, you got your holy life You bring that lion's pride everywhere you go... You make your sacrifices (day in, day out), You can't make up your mind (day in, day out) You keep those lover's lies far from your home... The little bit that I can understand, From living these songs of love and fightin' each other with frightened, trembling hands, As I was living it up... Lawd! ...you know, I forgot to be your man... Baby, I know it's not in your hands...I mean, look at you, now...you've taken your stance. v2. We gave it so much life, we gave it so much time But all of that inner strife got out of control... We wasted all those nights (coulda set things right), And all those inner lights (coulda set things right), You've shaken me with your might, if I had only known... The little bit that I can understand, From living these songs of love and holdin' each other with frightened, trembling hands, As I was giving it up... Lawd! ...you know, I learned I just might not be your man... Baby, I know it's not in your plans...I mean, look at you, now...you've taken your stance.
